Our gorgeous golden boy Paddy, born in December 2024, in Bathurst, New South Wales. His first home town is right here in Broome.
Big for his age, and with a huge heart to match, he is packed full of love and energy.
His youthful enthusiasm brings smiles to everyone he meets.

Our ever-so-cute recent addition, little Molly 😍.
Molly was born in July 2025, in Bathurst, New South Wales. Like Paddy, her first home town is right here in Broome.
Molly and Paddy are actually cousins (their mums are sisters).
Full of life, positivity, and everything else that encompasses a golden retriever pup.

These are our late companions who have passed over the rainbow bridge, and whose memory continues to guide our standards.
Luka in particular was a therapy dog in every way - starting his puppy life as an assistance dog-in-training before we adopted him. He was one of the team when the idea for Broome Therapy Dogs came to life, but passed away unexpectedly in June 2025.
Zoey was also part of the original idea, and headed up the team when we launched on 1 December 2025, only to be struck down with severe illness on our road-trip to Perth for Christmas with family. Sadly, Zoey passed away on 26 December 2025.
All of these dogs remain a beloved part of our story.
First and foremost, Alan is a father of two wonderful kids - now wonderful adults - living their best lives in Melbourne and New Zealand.
The bulk of Alan's working career involved over 25-years’ experience in Public Practice as a Chartered Accountant, including roles as Director and Managing Director of a Perth-based Chartered Accounting advisory practice.
In 2013, he was advanced to the status of Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia & New Zealand (FCA) – in recognition of length of membership leadership role within the profession, and contribution to the community.
Alan retired in 2015 due to ill-health, and has spent much of the time since then facing head on the many challenges associated with achieving and maintaining his own mental health and wellbeing.
From 2017 to 2022, Alan spent extensive periods camping in remote areas of Australia – predominantly Kimberley / Northern WA, Arnhem Land / NT, across the gulf & North Queensland - as well as many places along the various routes between these locations and his then hometown of Perth. During this time, he did what he could to help others in need, but missed having a base from which he could devote further time. This was a major part of Alan's decision to relocate permanently to Broome in January 2023.
Alan has been a life-long dog lover and been lucky enough to have golden retrievers as companions for over 40 years.
