There is absolutely no charge for the services provided by Broome Therapy Dogs.
In saying that, we love to hear and know that our services and presence in the community is appreciated.
“Passing around the hat for a pat” involves our dogs and their human partners fundraising for other worthy Broome-based charities. You will see the dogs out-and-about in the Broome community, proudly wearing their jackets for all to see – markets, pubs, cafes, beach, parks, workplaces, or just streetwalking.
It's all part of our philosophy of providing a helping hand.
The dogs’ jackets include a QR code to invite donations of support. Fundraising via this means, as well as other promotions throughout the year, provides encouragement for our ongoing presence in the community, as well as raising much needed funds for other worthy Broome-based charities.
All funds raised are directed equally to the relevant charities via our fund-raising portal. Donations to these eligible charities of $2 or more are tax-deductible, and donors will be issued with a receipt for taxation purposes.
Donations made to our chosen charities via our web site are tagged as being sourced as a result of the efforts of Broome Therapy Dogs. Together with client feedback, fundraising is a primary measure of community support and appreciation for a “job well done”.
